Glow of Harvest & Hot Foil Magic

[Kayla]

There’s something about new crafting products that makes me want to drop everything and play..and my latest live video on my Facebook & Youtube channel was the perfect excuse to do exactly that.

For this video, I created two completely different cards using the gorgeous Glow of Harvest Specialty Designer Series Paper — August’s Stampin’ Up! Product of the Month — while also sneaking in a little preview of some VERY exciting new products coming soon!

Two Cards, Two Completely Different Looks

Card One

The first is a traditional card design, allowing the beautiful Glow of Harvest paper to really take centre stage. The warm autumnal colours with those fussy cut flowers taken right from the Glow of Harvest specialty paper and gorgeous leafy imagery from the new Lustrous Leaves hot foil dies make creating a beautiful background almost effortless.

I did also take some products from the brand new upcoming September-December Stampin’ Up! catalogue including the; Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder, Autumn Woodland Glimmer Paper, Neutrals Jute Combo Pack and Painted Patch Adhesive Backed Dots. These will be available in my online store from September 1st (or now if you are already a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator).

Card Two

For the second card, I decided to play with an angled gatefold design. I love how the different panels open up to reveal the design inside — it adds that little bit of WOW without making the card overly complicated.
I have made one of these in the past and you can see a link for a free tutorial with a template and measurements by clicking here.

And, of course, I couldn’t resist adding some of the gorgeous Lustrous Leaves Hot Foil Dies into the mix!

A Little Sneak Peek of What’s Coming…

If you’ve been watching my recent crafting adventures, you’ll know that I am VERY excited about the new Stampin’ Up! Hot Foil System.
This new system is going to open up so many creative possibilities — from adding beautiful foiled details to cardstock and patterned paper, to creating gorgeous sentiments, backgrounds and decorative elements.
For these cards, I used the Lustrous Leaves Hot Foil Dies, and I am already dreaming up about a million different ways to use them!

The Hot Foil System will be back in stock and these new products will be available to order next month, so if you’ve been eyeing them off, now is definitely the time to start making your wish list.

And trust me… you are going to want to play with this!

Don’t Miss August’s Product of the Month

The Glow of Harvest Specialty Designer Series Paper is August’s Product of the Month, and it is SUCH a beautiful collection of papers for autumn-inspired projects.

Even better, qualifying orders give you the opportunity to add this gorgeous paper to your order for just $9.
If you’ve been thinking about placing an order, this is a lovely way to get a little extra crafting goodness in your stash while you’re at it! Click here to order or learn more about the product of the month.
