Ready, Steady, Craft! | Celebrating 2 Years of The Stamping Lounge

[Kayla]

We recently celebrated a pretty special milestone at The Stamping Lounge — our 2nd birthday! … and of course, we couldn’t celebrate without getting crafty!

For our birthday party, we brought back one of our favourite challenges — Ready, Steady, Craft!
The concept is simple… we spin the crafting wheel and let fate decide what we have to create!

For my challenge, the wheel landed on

here is my finished card

I combined the brand-new Buffalo Check Hot Foil Die with the Botanical Glow Hot Foil Die, added the Words & Wishes Bundle, and pulled everything together using Sketch #30 from The Stamping Lounge Sketch Box.

And honestly… I LOVE how it turned out!

The sketch box made pulling the design together so much easier. When you’re given a few creative parameters AND a sketch to work from, suddenly that dreaded “what am I going to make?” feeling disappears!

I must admit I was pretty happy to have spun the challenge of creating with hot foil! It’s one of my current crafty obsessions and these hot foil dies are just gorgeous!

Crafting Together Is Better

One of my favourite things about The Stamping Lounge is that we don’t just teach you how to make cards — we craft together.

Our birthday party was such a fun time crafting, laughing, spinning the wheel and seeing what everyone came up with from the challenges.
And if you’re a Stamping Lounge member, you also get access to the coordinating PDF project sheet for this project, along with all the other tutorials, classes, lounges and crafty goodness inside the Lounge.

If you’ve been looking for a place to get more inspiration, learn new techniques and actually craft with other people, I’d love for you to come and join us.

The Stamping Lounge is open worldwide and membership is just $24.95 AUD per month — cancel anytime. Click here to learn more.
Because crafting is always more fun when we’re doing it together!

And if you’re someone who loves having a little creative shortcut when you’re short on time, definitely check out the The Stamping Lounge Sketch Box too. Sketch #30 helped me pull this birthday card together SO quickly — and there are 52 sketches inside the box to keep the creative juices flowing!

Here’s to another year of crafting, creativity and plenty of Ready, Steady, Craft! challenges!
Happy 2nd Birthday, The Stamping Lounge!
